Want to go somewhere less crowded? Well, this one’s for you! Majestic waves, picturesque views and a terrain leading to a Batanes/Ireland looking cliffs and hills. This is what’s going to surprise you after a 15-20 minutes trek. You’ll feel like you’re transported into another part of the world. This destination is the newest in Catanduanes. The guide told me that it was opened and was just discovered last December 2015.  I also asked our guide if camping was allowed here but he said that the management were not allowing this because of waste disposal (we don’t want to litter on this wonderful place right?). But imagine camping out here and feeling so close to the sky and stars, that would definitely be magical. But then again, they are preserving this beauty and we’d always go for team mother nature haha. Also, EVERY SINGLE SPOT here is worthy of taking photos. I mean, see for yourself.

They say that the best time to go here is around 5 am so that you can catch the sunrise. And of course, so that you can stay out of the scorching sun. We got here at around 7 am and yes, it was already hot haha. If you’re travelling from Virac proper, it would take around 1 hour to get to Baras. Better be an early bird and catch the worm!

Binurong is a bicol word for “Healed”. Which clearly means that this place can heal you (but maybe not in a medical way haha). By just seeing the view, you can be emotionally healed already. You can spend hours of alone time or bonding time with your loved ones.

Now you might be wondering how to get to this paradise. Here’s a little guide for you and the fees for binurong point. It’s a long drive from manila but I assure you, it’s definitely paradise once you get in Catanduanes. Plus, this isn’t the only destination worthy of a visit, there’s a ton more so your buck won’t be a waste! (P.S Most of the beaches in Catanduanes are unspoiled hehe)
